Soy Steaks: Endless Possibilities
Soy Steaks Recipes: Here’s How to Roast Them
Ingredients
Servings for 2 people:
- 4.2 oz dehydrated soy steaks
- 1/2 lemon
- water
- 4 teaspoons vegetable bouillon powder
- salt-free roast spices
- oil.
Since the soy steaks are dehydrated, the first step is to rehydrate them. How? Let me explain everything…

In the meantime, you can start preparing a side dish to pair with them. I wouldn’t recommend a first course because the soy steaks are quite filling. How about a fresh tomato salad?
After about ten minutes, turn off the heat and let it cool a bit. Prepare a colander and place a large bowl underneath. Using a fork, take the soy steaks one by one from the pot with the broth (make sure not to throw it away!) and place them in the colander. Squeeze them by pressing with the fork. Save the broth that ends up in the bowl.

Pour the juice of half a lemon into the pot with the broth you saved and stir it.
Take a wide, flat pan and pour in a tablespoon of oil. Tilt the pan so the oil spreads across the entire surface. Place the soy steaks in the pan and sprinkle the spices over them.
Turn on the heat, cover, and sauté for 5 minutes on each side.
In the meantime, add the broth collected in the mixing bowl to the one in the pot where you rehydrated the steaks. Add a splash to the pan where you are roasting the steaks if they start to stick. Check them often.
After browning them well on both sides, add the remaining broth, cover, and let them absorb the liquid.
